Together, we will examine the lived experiences that create a Pan-Africanist global Black feminist perspective, the historical legacy of Pan-African Feminists, and Pan-African strategic visions for a globally liberated future.

The State of Brazilian Politics – A Black Feminist Perspective: An IG Live with Dr. Tassiana Oliveira 

Event Info: The state of Brazilian politics is at the center of global discourse, given the recent fascist invasion of the Brazilian Presidential Palace and Supreme Court by supporters of the ex-president, Jair Bolsonaro; Lula's narrow win for presidency against Bolsonaro; and the current presidential cabinet's agenda to emphasize a “new Brazil” by centering communities that were overlooked and marginalized during Bolsonaro’s administration. 

Our featured guest, political scientist and scholar of Brazilian Studies Dr. Tassiana Oliveira, will offer critical insights on the historical, current, and future state of Brazilian politics from a Black feminist perspective.
